Wahlen zum 48. Studierendenparlament und der Fachschaftsräte | Elections to the 48th Student Parliament and the Student Councils

Liebe Kommiliton*innen,
vom 8. bis 12. Februar 2021 finden die Wahlen zum 48. Studierendenparlament und der Fachschaftsräte statt. Anders als in den Vorjahren, werden diese ausschließlich per Briefwahl durchgeführt, sodass ein Mindestmaß an Schutz für alle beteiligten Personen gewährt werden kann. Wahlberechtigt sind alle Studierende, die bis spätestens zum 4. Januar 2021 eingeschrieben sind (waren).
Das Studierendenparlament — oder kurz StuPa — ist das höchste beschlussfassende studentische Gremium, das unsere studentische Vertretung, den Allgemeinen Studierendenausschuss (AStA), der die Exekutive bildet, wählt und kontrolliert. Außerdem beschäftigt es sich sowohl mit Anträgen aus der Verfassten Studierendenschaft (VS) als auch mit der Verwendung studentischer Finanzmittel.
Die Fachschaftsräte (FSRe) sind die Interessenvertretungen der einzelnen Fachbereiche und stellen das Bindeglied zwischen Studierenden und Dozierenden dar. Somit haben diese Einfluss auf Entscheidungen hinsichtlich der Organisation der jeweiligen Fachbereiche oder nehmen sich Problemen der Studierenden mit Dozierenden an. Darüber hinaus planen und organisieren die Fachschaftsräte Veranstaltungen, wie die Erstsemestereinführungen (ESE).
Wenn ihr sichergehen wollt, ob ihr auch wirklich wählen dürft, könnt ihr bis zum 18. Januar 2021 den Eintrag im Wähler*innenverzeichnis beim Wahlausschuss per E-Mail unter wahlausschuss@asta.uni-siegen.de erfragen. Wichtig hierbei ist, dass ihr die Anfrage über eure studentische E-Mail-Adresse stellt und darin eure Matrikelnummer angebt.
So geht ihr bei der Beantragung der Briefwahlunterlagen vor:
Sendet eine formlose Mail bis zum 5. Februar 2021 über eure studentische E-Mail-Adresse an wahlausschuss@asta.uni-siegen.de, in der ihr eure gewünschte Zieladresse (nur innerhalb Deutschlands) nennt und dieser ein Foto oder Scan eures Studi- sowie Personalausweises bzw. Pass anhängt. Für den Fall, dass ihr mehreren Fachschaften angehört (das betrifft z. B. Lehramtsstudierende), gebt ihr zusätzlich eure Präferenz an, für welchen Fachschaftsrat ihr eure Stimme abgeben möchtet.
Wenn ihr selbst beabsichtigt bei den Wahlen anzutreten, so findet ihr alle Informationen in der Wahlankündigung, die sich seit heute in eurem studentischen E-Mail-Postfach befindet. Weiteres Wissenswerte sowie sämtliche Dokumente und Formulare hat euch der Wahlausschuss auf unserer Homepage bereitgestellt. Dear fellow students,
The elections for the 48th student parliament and the student councils will take place from 8 to 12 February 2021. Unlike in previous years, these elections will be conducted exclusively by postal vote, so that a minimum level of protection can be guaranteed for all persons involved. All students who are (were) enrolled by 4 January 2021 at the latest are eligible to vote.
The Student Parliament – or StuPa for short – is the highest decision-making student body that elects and controls our student representation, the General Student Committee (AStA), which forms the executive. In addition, it deals with motions from the student body (VS) as well as with the use of student funds.
The student councils (FSRe) represent the interests of the individual departments and are the link between students and lecturers. Thus, they have an influence on decisions regarding the organisation of the respective departments or deal with students’ problems with lecturers. In addition, the student councils plan and organise events such as the first semester introductions (ESE).
If you want to make sure that you are really allowed to vote, you can request your entry in the electoral roll from the electoral committee by e-mail at wahlausschuss@asta.uni-siegen.de by 18 January 2021. It is important that you send the request via your student email address and include your matriculation number.
This is how you apply for postal voting documents:
Send an informal e-mail by 5 February 2021 via your student e-mail address to wahlausschuss@asta.uni-siegen.de, stating your desired destination address (only within Germany) and attaching a photo or scan of your student ID and ID card or passport. If you belong to more than one student council (this applies to teacher trainees, for example), please also state your preference for which student council you would like to vote for.
If you intend to stand in the elections yourself, you will find all the information you need in the election announcement, which you will find in your student e-mail box as of today. Further information, documents and forms can be found on the Election Committee’s homepage.
